Safety and community

A friendly place to land

CityNgn connects people who just moved with each other and with local volunteers. These rules and tools keep it safe.

  • Report

Report anyone from their profile or from a message. Reports go to our safety team, not to the person.

  • Block

Block anyone, and they can no longer contact you.

  • Choose who can message you

Let anyone in your city message you, or only people you’ve said hi to.

  • Emergency numbers

Each city guide shows the local emergency numbers, once a person has checked them.

Community rules

  • Be kind and respectful. No harassment, hate, threats or bullying.
  • Be yourself. No fake profiles and no pretending to be someone else.
  • Keep it safe. No sexual content, no violence and nothing illegal.
  • Keep it free. City Guides volunteer: no selling, no paid services and no spam.
  • Respect privacy. Don’t share anyone’s personal details or photos without asking.
  • Meet safely. For a first meeting, choose video or a busy public place.

What happens after a report

Our safety team reviews every report. Depending on what happened, we may warn the person, limit what they can do or remove their account. We may keep messages and reports to investigate and to meet our legal duties, as the Privacy Policy explains.

In an emergency

CityNgn can’t send help. If you or someone else is in danger, call the local emergency number first, then report it in the app.

For people aged 18 and over

CityNgn is only for adults. If you think someone under 18 is using it, report their profile or contact us.
